Happy Valley Derby Darlins is Utah County’s own flat track roller derby league. We proudly empower women and youth, support charitable causes, and provide hard-hitting entertainment for our fans.
The league was founded in 2011 by a few skaters who were determined to bring roller derby to Utah County. Since then, HVDD has become a WFTDA Member League with 1 travel team, the Molly Morbids, and 3 home teams: Daughters of Anarchy, Rollin’ Rebellion, and Sirens of Steel. We also offer recreational skaters a chance to play with the Bridal Veil Dolls. Our most recent addition—a junior league known as the Happy Valley Derby Prodigies—means that skaters and officials under age 18 can now join in the fun. So whether you dream of laying big hits on the track or sending rowdy rule-breakers to the penalty box, there’s a place for you at HVDD.
Our organization includes men, women, and children of all ages. Because the arena is centrally located in Lindon, it’s just a few minutes’ drive from Orem, Provo, and other Utah County cities. We even have members who make the drive from Salt Lake City in order to play with Happy Valley. They cite the league’s unique feeling of friendship and sportsmanship as the reason for their loyalty.
Most of the players in Happy Valley Derby Darlins joined without roller derby or roller skating experience. Instead, we rely on each other’s encouragement and motivation to become better skaters, strategists, and leaders. If that sounds intriguing, we invite you to get involved as a team member, sponsor, or official.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, HVDD works hard to enrich our sport and community. It’s our mission to showcase inspiring athleticism, confidence, and sisterhood—both on and off the track.
We are a non-profit organization operating as a women’s flat track roller derby league. Happy Valley Derby Darlins strives to provide women of all backgrounds, age groups, and skill levels within the Utah County region an opportunity to interact with other women in a constructive outlet for the everyday frustrations of life through roller derby. Through sportsmanship and athleticism, we provide positive athletic role models and a sense of sisterhood, loyalty, hard work, and competitiveness among our skaters and a sense of family among our organization as a whole.
